THE LONGEST BRIDGE IN THE WORLD:THE QINGDAO HAIWAN BRIDGE

Due to need growth on economy, trade and tourism the need to link two trading cities has riseses. the process of oppenig worlds market and intiating global trade have put china government into strategically thinking.  The Qingdao Haiwan bridge was contructed to link the main urban area of quingado city, Shandow provincewith Huangdao districts crossing the Jiaozhou Bay sea areas. the road bridge took a period of 4years to be constructed and coasted China governement 5.5 billion euros to build.

The bridge is located  between Shanghai and Nanjing in East China. it is in yangtze River Delta where the geographical location is characterized by cannals, rivers and lakes. this bridge runs parrallel to yangtze river. it passes through populated areas such as Danyang Changzhou and Suzhou . The Qingdao Haiwan bridge currently hold the Guinnes world Record for the longest bridge in the world. the bridge was completed on 2010 and opened on 30th june 2011. 
the bridge 164 kilometers (102 miles) th overall length of 42.6 km the route betwen Qingdao and Huangdao will be reduced by 30km cutting down the travel by about 20 minutes. through a more fast transport network, HongKong financial Tourism trade and logistics can become wit the pearl river delta and the surrounding  areas.
The bridge will be a six-lane express way that can handle earthquakes up to a magnitude of 8.o strong typhoons and impact of 300,000 tonne vessels
In early 2009  the construction of about $8.5 billion  was planned and the only thing remain is to put the best engineer on the job due to politcal issues, it was delayed upto the late 2010  after tourist secretary   pushing had to the construction saying that this bridge is of economic importance. since it will also boost tourists. This construction was supported by the america and all other countries.
