FLY 540 CLOSES A DEAL WITH QATAR AIRWAYS TO EXPAND INTERNATIONAL OPTIONS



Fly 540 fleets belong to accompany commonly known as Five Forty Aviation Limited in partnership with the Lonrho Plc conglomerate due to tough economic situation fly 540 recognizes there was a need of low cost carrier to meet its demand. Passengers can easily do bookings online and pay via M-Pesa  (this is a mobile money transfer that is commonly used by Kenyans. Our low cost airline business gives us the ability to offer travel at affordable prices which benefit our customer within Africa.

Our first flights were between Nairobi and Mombasa using ATR 42-320 turbo prop aircraft. In less than a year the airline added services to Malindi, Lamu, Vipingo Ridge, Kisumu, Kakamega, Lodwar and Eldoret.  The airline’s value for money flights won instant popularity and Fly540 now has 12 destinations in Kenya with regional services to, Entebbe, Zanzibar, Kilimanjaro, Dares Salaam and Southern Sudan. During the East Africa community investment conference that was held in Kmpala 2 years back, fly 540 was honored for contributing to economic growth. Fly has continued to expand its wings with Operational flights in Tanzania, Southern African region with Angola as its hub for Southern Africa, Ghana for the Western parts of Africa.

Under the terms of the agreement, Qatar Airways’ passengers will be able to connect with a Fly540 Kenya flight at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi and fly to destinations within Fly540 Kenya’s network using one itinerary.
